Ideas: Infront of the Camera

So as part of my research i have decided that i am going to take a few photos of me in front of the camera, I dont particuly want to do the whole pose- and look pretty thing i wasnt to do something fun and exciting- something a bit different, i am a size 14 so i would be a plus size model if i where one so i have looked at a few artist who have taken some cool photos of some plus size woman.
Karl lagerfeld took some photos for an V magazine size issue, called "COCO A GO-GO"
I am not going to make it this graphic but i will do something which has spirit and is vibrant, i like this because it is a really exciting image. she is not wearing anything from Chanel - but all the accessions all over her body are Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld a few months before he shot these images was heard saying "No one wants to see round women" and "These are fat mummies sitting with their bags of crisps in front of the television, saying that thin models are ugly," He than contradicts himself and does a full spread online. But even so these images are beautiful.

Another Set of images that inspired me are Annie Leibovitz images of Alexander Mcqueen and Isabella Blows- these images are fun and exciting i think with images like this there is something beautiful- and also they aren't trying to hard they are just beautiful images.

images of me infront of the camera.  i was very nervous i didnt really know what do it. they arent the best images but i wanted to get a feel of it.

From No size To Plus siz

Tara Lynn- modeling for V magazine- plus issue. (inc. Candice Huffine, Michelle Olson and Marquita Pring)

Crystal Renn- going from size 12-0, 0-12
Looking at the life of Plus size Models and how it is hard to stay as a plus size in a industry that wants Size 0. Crystal Renn use to be one of the most celebrated plus size models, now she has gone from a size 14-around 8 which is not that bad- but she is now not a plus size model- why do plus size models mostly lose weight?
"By placing a title on my head – which is plus size – and the picture that people have placed in their mind about what plus size is, I'll basically fail you just with that. Because I couldn't possibly live up to that. And at this point in my life, I would actually have to have another eating disorder to live up to that expectation." quote by Crystal Renn
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/news/the-pressure-of-being-a-plussize-model-2208618.html
Crystel Renn changed from being a plus size to being a size 0 , she was getting a lot of work when she was a t the size 0 but she said that she would rather be healthy than be a size 0.
When crystal started modeling she was 14 and she was told to loose weight or she wouldn't get any jobs when she did loose weight she than got a few jobs but not the ones she wanted, she than decided that she either was going to die from anorexia or she could gain weight and be healthy, she went to an american size 12- which got her a lot of jobs and was on the cover of vogue, but being placed a title on her head by being a plus sized model she couldn't handle it and lost more weight. By the press and Fans she was pressurized to loose weight again.

What are the specific requirement to be a plus size model?
Size:12-16
you have to be confident in yourself.

Photoshop, editing

 Photograph by Me
Using Photoshop i edited a few Photos that i took and tried to show the extreme stp of the before and after- how it I tried out making someone look better- taller skinner and prettier this is just an experiment,i will do more. " wow she looks good" " i know i shouldn't say that but she really does"
 Photograph by Me.
This is another photo that i experimented with- i think its really bizarre how this has happened! I showed the girl who i did it of and she said "I really like it, i look better"- thing is even i said wow you look good in that- i shouldn't and i think its wrong but it is true we all think that- we think that if someone was that skinny and  than its beautiful. - comparing it is quite wrong but it is true.

These few images i found online of celebrities and models i was searching the before and after of photography, and this is what came up.

Why does everything have to be fake?
The thing is as i love to do fashion photography i know what its like to want to have skinny girls who are pretty and i like to edit my photos making them slimmer- but i don't get why? If i showed a photograph anyone two photographs the before and after separately than each time they would pick the edited one, because it is more beautiful.

The Colour Printer

Today i have had a colour workshop- The rules of it " The white light spectrum can be divided into three primary bands: Blue, Green, and Red." its not like painting where it is Blue, Yellow and Red.- it has to be exposed on a Panchromatic film (sensitive to all colour wavelengths).
These are the colour spectrum, if there is too much Yellow then add more yellow the same applies with Magenta and more magenta- you shouldn't use Cyan.  I developed a photo but now i am going to do more. it was really hard at first getting the right light and everything but at the it worked out.

For my final piece i am going to experiment with the colour dark room , creating some dark mysterious images, also some vibrant and fun ones for both different things i think that it will be really exciting and fun.
